Traditional Chilean horse racing has existed for more than 100 years. On a track of three hundred meters, two jockeys compete head to head. Races are held on Sundays in towns throughout the country, where spectators come to enjoy the spectacle and place bets.
José Troncoso Muñoz, a horse trainer and former jockey, is training Felipe Aguilar, 14, the skills of being a jockey on the island of Chiloé. Through their training, the two have built a friendship that goes beyond the business of horse racing.
